Purpose

This portfolio serves the purpose of sharing my ever-evolving philosophy on instructional technology and the potential for creation versus merely consuming media, in the learning environment. I know through my experience with maker education, design thinking processes, and instructional technology integration that exposing students to authentic real-world learning experiences, builds empathy, sparks curiosity, and develops a freedom to fail.

This portfolio is an accountability tool as well as a showcase of what I have learned, where I am headed, and the successes I have had in the classroom. Learning is a two-way street and I never seek to be the all-knowing teacher. I have teachers all around me, including my youngest students and fellow educators. Teaching is a journey and as with technology, I am constantly evolving.
