All children are makers innately, and there is no better way to connect concrete learning concepts than through the process of building and designing authentic solutions to real world problems.

About Me

I am in my first year at Greenhill School where I am working as the Lower School Computer Science and Engineering teacher. I have been working as a K-8 Educational Technologist for going on ten years in independent schools in Dallas, TX. I have a background in arts and humanities which I draw inspiration from when I help schools build communities that support a maker mindset through integrated technology learning experiences. I am currently working on my Masters of Educational Technology Leadership through George Washington University which has solidified my passion for Educational Technology and the possibilities in K12. I am also a new member of the 2017-2018 Association for Technology in Independent Schools (ATLIS) Early Career and Aspiring Technology Directors Institute (ECATD). I have been working in iPad and BYOD laptop environments for my entire career and I am passionate about how technology can reinvent the learning environment. I believe deeply in the maker movement and I have seen the benefits of hands-on STEAM education in K12. I feel that all children are makers innately, and there is no better way to connect concrete learning concepts than through the process of building and designing authentic solutions to real world problems.
